Tony & Christine Newsletters

Christmas 2024

Kona to Manila.
Manila to Cebu & Surigao.
We got to help a number of people and bases with their Technology and Website needs.

From a conference in Manila to one in Tauranga, I think we have our quota.

Come in and see what else has been happening for us.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

December 2024

Thank you for such a good time in the Philippines over September and October.

From YWAM Together in Manila at the beginning of September, we then traveled down to Cebu and Surigao and then back to Manila at the end of October.

We got to work with many of you to see what you are doing, but more importantly, to see why you do what you do, to hear your vision, and see where you think Jesus is taking you.

Training and Manila

So, we moved into a yurt. Our neighbors are now roosters, turkeys, and coquí frogs.Living in Kona is interesting. We’re not on holiday, and our economy is very much supported by holidaymakers, so I can’t begrudge them having fun while they are here. Where we were...

August 2023

August 2023 We are back in Kona after five weeks in the Philippines. From Surigao where Chris and I met, to Cebu where we had our Honeymoon and Manila where it all began. We sidestepped a Typhoon but missed out on getting to Baguio. We met with many old friends and...

Talking to Father

Talking with Father  For me, prayer is an enigma. I have known times when God has definitely answered prayers. Like the time I flew out of New Zealand to Manila with the Airport in Manila closed due to a coup. I have also known times when God did not answer...

God’s Team

God is not on our side.
But we can be on God’s side.

Who’s team are you on?
Your own team or God’s?

Often, we start on our team, we learn that that is not where we are meant to be, we switch to God’s team, and then, unfortunately, we convert God’s team into our team and wonder where God has gone.

How do we move from being on our team to God’s team?
How do we keep ourselves on God’s team?
What are the telltale signs that I might be trying to convert God’s team into my team?
And if I find myself having converted God’s team to my team and God seems vacant, how can I get back onto God’s team?

Managing a Website

Managing a website is not a part-time job; it is a focused job.

Just like someone in charge of the sponsorship program, accounts/admin, the kitchen, or a feeding program, making a website work is a 20-hour-a-week job.

Yesterday

Yesterday was not a good day. You may have noticed that yesterday morning, your website was not working. October 17th. Overnight, a virus, hacker, or payload package went off. My server was classified as compromised by Google, and it was suspended. When I got up in...

An online seminar

Do you have new staff?
Do you have friends you want to introduce to YWAM?
Do you want to run an online bible study?
